Trinity Lutheran School- Alma, boys cross country team is heading to the national stage after an outstanding performance at the LSAM, Lutheran Sports Association of Missouri, State Meet on Oct 11, 2025 held at Camp Trinity in New Haven, MO. The boys' team secured a 3rd place finish at 93 points, which qualified the team for the national meet, but they won’t be going alone. Two members of the girls' team, Ava Griggs and Reese Hemme, earned individual spots, finishing 10th and 11th, respectively, and will attend the national meet to represent the Lady Tigers. Trinity’s Girls Cross Country Team had a fourth-place finish with 89 points at the state meet. Willow Hemme, Avery Meyer and Jules Hemme round out the Lady Tiger’s Team.
The boy’s team achievement was powered by standout individual efforts from Paxton Hemme, who secured a 3rd place finish, and Brody Graver, who also secured a medal with a top-20 finish. Other runners who scored team points for Trinity are Eli Hemme, Brady Meyer and Dawson Graver. Runners Grayson Brandt, Carter Brown, Colton Brown, and Charlie Gifford round out the state team.
The 15th National Lutheran Cross Country Meet is set to take place at Concordia University in Wisconsin on October 25. They will join over 400 runners from Lutheran Schools from all across the country at the National Meet.
As the countdown to nationals begins, Trinity Lutheran School and the Alma community are rallying behind the team, ready to cheer them on as they embark on their journey to Wisconsin. There will be a community send-off event set for Thursday, Oct 23, at 2:30 pm, starting at the school. The public is invited to join in the celebration!
